1 kilogram Pumpkin
250 grams sugar
1 Tbsp salt
¼ l White vinegar
¼ l water
3 garlic cloves
1 lemon (zest)

Preparation steps

1.

Cut the pumpkin flesh into 3 cm cubes (approximately 1 1/4 inches), place in a bowl and mix with the sugar, salt, vinegar, water, the peeled garlic cloves and the lemon zest. Cover and leave to marinate for 24 hours.

2.

The next day, transfer to a pot, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 10 - 15 minutes until the pumpkin pieces are glazed.

3.

Transfer immediately to the jars and close the lids tightly.
