750 grams mixed Berry (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and currants)
250 grams Cherries
½ lemon (juiced)
50 grams sugar
400 milliliters Currant juice
2 Tbsps cornstarch
2 Tbsps Crème de cassis (or blackcurrant syrup)
mint (for garnish)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse, trim and drain the berries well. Cut the strawberries in half or quarter depending on the size. Rinse, pit and drain the cherries.

2.

Boil the lemon juice with the sugar and black currant juice. Mix the cornstarch with the cassis until smooth and add to the fruit sauce. Simmer, while stirring, for a few minutes until thickened, remove from the heat and mix in the berries. Allow to cool and serve garnished with mint.
