- 500 grams honey
- ⅛ l vegetable oil
- 250 grams sugar
- 700 grams Pastry flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 250 grams almonds
- 2 tsps cinnamon
- 1 generous pinch cloves
- ½ tsp allspice
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 eggs
- 100 grams Candied lemon
- 100 grams candied orange
- 3 Tbsps condensed milk
- 100 grams almonds (for decorating)
- candied Cherries (for decorating)
- vegetable oil (for baking sheet)
Preparation steps

Simmer honey, oil and sugar, stirring constantly. Let cool.

Mix flour, baking powder, almonds, all the spices, eggs, and candied zests. Pour the honey mixture into the flour mixture and knead well. If the dough is too soft add a little flour. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 1 hour. Grease a baking sheet.
Preheat oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). With floured hands evenly flatten the dough onto the baking sheet. Brush the dough with condensed milk. Lightly score the dough into 6 squares.

Decorate each square with almonds and candied cherries. Bake until light brown, about 45 minutes. Remove from the baking sheet and divide into the marked squares.
