250 grams starchy potatoes
2 onions
800 grams Ground lamb
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 tsp Tomato paste

75 milliliters hot milk
Nutmeg
50 grams grated Cheddar cheese

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F) convection. Butter a baking dish.

Peel, rinse and cook the potatoes in boiling salted water about 25 minutes until tender. Peel the onions and finely chop. Saute the ground lamb and onion in hot oil. Add the tomato paste and season with salt and pepper. Drain the potatoes and mash. Stir in the hot milk and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Spoon the ground lamb mixture into the baking dish, top with the mashed potatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the preheated oven about 35 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve.
