This crumble is not only delicious, the vitamin C in it also strengthens the immune system, acts as an antioxidant, and supports the absorption of iron, which is found in the oats.
Although the strawberry is often referred to as the "Queen of Berries", strictly speaking it does not belong to the category of berry fruits. Botanically speaking, the strawberry is a collective fruit, which is a fruit made up of several seeds.

- 19 ozs Strawberries
- 1 ½ fluid ozs Crème de cassis
- 1 generous pinch lemon zest (fresh)
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla sugar
- 75 grams Pastry flour
- 3 ½ Tbsps chopped almonds
- 3 ½ Tbsps chopped Peanuts
- 3 ½ ozs butter
- 3 ½ Tbsps brown sugar
- 1 pinch salt
Preparation steps
Rinse, dry and hull strawberries. Cut into pieces. Mix with crème de cassis, lemon zest and vanilla sugar and place into four ramekins.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Process flour with almonds, peanuts, butter, sugar and salt until crumbly. Sprinkle over berries.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
