1 kilogram Strawberries
500 grams jam sugar (2:1)
1 Cinnamon stick
½ tsp Ground clove
1 lemon (juice)

Preparation steps

Rinse the strawberries, pat dry, remove the stems and puree 3/4 of the berries. Cut the rest into columns. Mix the strawberry puree, strawberry columns, sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Let sit for 1 hour. Rinse, halve and squeeze the lemon.

Add the lemon juice to the strawberry mixture and bring to a boil, stirring, for 4 minutes. Pour the mixture into prepared jars and seal tightly. Place upside down on a damp paper towel for about 15 minutes. Leave to cool. Turn right side up and let cool until serving.
