8 slices ham
8 slices Hard cheese (such as Gruyère, mountain cheese or Gouda)

Preparation steps

1.

Scrub and pat dry potatoes. Cook in boiling water for about 20-25 minutes. Drain and cool slightly. Halve potatoes lengthwise and season with salt and pepper.

Spread bottom halves with cheese and ham and replace top halves, tie potatoes with kitchen twine. Butter baking sheet and arrange potatoes on it, place 1 knob of butter on each potato. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
