- 2 cups vegetable oil
- ½ red Bell pepper (deseeded and cut into fine dice)
- ½ green Bell pepper (deseeded and cut into fine dice)
- ½ yellow Bell pepper (deseeded and cut into fine dice)
- 4 Chicken breasts (skinned and cut into chunks)
- 3 Tbsps Corn starch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 egg white (lightly beaten)
- 1 scallion (very finely chopped)
- Sparkling mineral water (approximately)
- soy sauce (for dipping)

1 beschichtetes Waffle iron, 1 Kitchen scale, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Mixing bowl, 1 Hand mixer, 2 Bowls, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Plate, 1 Fork, 1 Small bowl, 1 kleiner Whisk
Preparation steps
1.
Heat about 3 tbsp of the oil in a wok or large skillet and cook the diced bell peppers for 2 minutes. Remove from the pan, drain on kitchen paper and set aside.

Add the rest of the oil to the wok and heat until smoking.

Toss the chicken chunks in the cornstarch, shaking off any excess.
4.
Beat the flour with the baking powder, egg white, scallion and enough sparkling water to make a batter.
5.
Dip the chicken chunks into the batter and fry in batches until golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.
6.
Drain on kitchen paper and serve with the bell peppers scattered over and the soy sauce for dipping.
