2 Tbsps olive oil
6 Red onions sliced horizontally (2 cm slices)
2 sprigs thyme
1 tsp powdered sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6 and brush a baking tray with oil.

Place the onion slices on the baking tray. Pluck a few leaves from the thyme and scatter the leaves and stalks over the onions. Dust with a little icing sugar and season with coarse sea salt and lemon juice.
3.
Roast in the oven for 20-30 minutes, depending on how brown you want them.
