4 large Beefsteak tomato
1 bunch Basil
400 grams Mozzarella
2 Tbsps olive oil (for the pan)
2 peeled garlic cloves
200 milliliters Whipped cream
150 milliliters Vegetable broth
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse tomatoes, remove stems and cut into slices. Rinse basil, shake dry, pluck off leaves and cut into thin strips.

Drain mozzarella and cut into as many slices as there are tomato slices. Layer tomato and mozzarella slices, overlapping, into 4 greased and rubbed with garlic tart pans. Combine cream with broth, season with salt and pepper and pour over tomato and mozzarella slices.

3.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 20-30 minutes or until mozzarella has melted. Remove from oven, sprinkle with basil and serve with fresh white bread.
