Preparation steps

Rinse tomatoes, trim, cut in half and remove stalk. Peel onion and cut into very small pieces.
2.
Sprinkle cut surfaces of tomatoes with onions and chives and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle tomatoes with olive oil. Arrange tomato halves decoratively on a plate and serve garnished with basil.
