These light, protein filled meatballs are perfect as an appetizer or as a meal. They are lower in calories and fat than regular meatballs, but are just as filling and flavorful. 

These meatballs are so versatile! You can serve them as appetizers, with pasta, on a salad, or in a sandwich or wrap. The possibilities are endless! 

Ingredients

For the kofta
1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
0.333 cup milk
12 ozs ground Turkey
2 tsps dried oregano
1 Tbsp parsley
salt
peppers
1 Tbsp olive oil
For the dip
cup low-fat Yogurt
1 Tbsp chopped mint
To garnish
mint

Preparation steps

Put the breadcrumbs into a mixing bowl and stir in the milk until the crumbs have absorbed the liquid.

Add the turkey, oregano and parsley, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix well and shape into 25-30 meatballs.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the meatballs for 5-10 minutes, turning to brown all over, until cooked through.

To serve: Put 2 meatballs on wooden skewers and place on a serving plate.

For the yogurt dip: mix together the yogurt and mint and put into a small bowl. Garnish with mint leaves.

Serve the dip with the meatballs and tortillas.
