1 large yellow onion
1 large carrot
¼ Kale (or Savoy cabbage)
½ Celery root
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp Caraway
1 l Vegetable broth

2 bay leaves
600 grams Smoked pork chop

Preparation steps

Rinse the pumpkin well and remove seeds, then cut flesh lengthwise into thin slices. Peel the potatoes, celery root and carrot, then cut into thin slices. Peel the onion and cut into thin slices. Rinse the kale, shake dry and cut into strips.

Sauté vegetables in a large pot in hot oil, then pour in broth and about 1/4 liter (approximately 1 cup) of water and add caraway seeds and bay leaf. Cook over medium heat about 30 minutes. Cut the meat into pieces, add to soup and heat through. Season the soup with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
