1 onion (finely sliced)
2 tsps sugar
6 scallions (sliced)
2 Tbsps Fish sauce

1 Skillet, 1 Bowl, 2 Small bowls, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Fine-mesh sieve, 1 Whisk, 1 Slotted spatula, 1 Hand mixer

Preparation steps

Mix together the soy sauce and tomato paste and add the chicken. Set aside to marinade for 30 minutes.

Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet and fry the onions until they are lightly browned. Add the sugar and cook for 2 more minutes.
3.
Add the chicken pieces and marinade, cook until the chicken is cooked through then stir in the scallions.
4.
Stir briefly then pour over the fish sauce and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper and serve with fish sauce for dipping.
