Preparation steps

Rinse and peel the celery root and cut into thin slices. Rinse the apples, cut into quarters and core. Slice into thin strips. Mix both in a bowl with 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Chop the nuts coarsely.

Whisk the buttermilk with the cream and the remaining lemon juice. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Mix the nuts and the dressing with the celery root and apples. Let stand for about 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Season once more.

To serve: Spread on saucers and serve cold.
