Preparation steps

Put the flour in a bowl and sprinkle over the yeast and 1 pinch of salt. Add the milk, honey, egg and butter and knead with the electric mixer or by hand to an elastic dough. If necessary, add a little lukewarm water if the dough is too firm. Cover and let rise in a warm place for approx. 45 minutes until the dough has doubled in size.

Heat the oven to 200C (180C fan) 400F, gas 6.

Knock down the dough and knead briefly, kneading in the walnut kernels and raisins. Place the dough in a buttered loaf pan and smooth the top. Cover and let rise again for at least 30 minutes.

Brush the loaf with milk and bake in the center of the oven for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
