1 pinch salt
1 tsp vegetable oil
125 grams Pastry flour
½ tsp Baking powder
clarified butter (for frying)

Preparation steps

For the batter, whisk together the egg, sugar, milk, salt and oil thoroughly. Stir the flour with the baking powder, then add to the wet ingredients. Cover and let rise for about 30 minutes. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Peel and core the apples. Cut the apples into 1 cm (approximately 1/4 inch) thick slices and sprinkle with lemon juice. Dredge apple slices in the batter then fry in hot butter until golden brown. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Keep warm while frying remaining apple slices. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve hot.
