0.333 cup sugar
1 cup Apple juice
1 cup Calvados (or apple juice)
4 Apple
2 Tbsps lemon juice

Preparation steps

1.
Bring the sugar to the boil with 75 ml water and cook at a rolling boil for around 3 minutes so that the sugar dissolves and the mixture turns into a syrup. Leave to cool completely.

Mix together the apple juice, Calvados and sugar syrup. Pour into a flat metal container and place in the freezer. Freeze for at least 4 hours, stirring thoroughly with a whisk every 20 minutes to prevent large ice crystals from forming.
3.
Cut the top off each apple and use an ice cream scoop to scoop out the core and flesh, leaving approx. 1 cm around the edge. Drizzle with lemon juice immediately to prevent browning. Spoon the sorbet into the apples and serve.
