Preparation steps

1.

Rinse endive, trim and remove core. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot and blanch endive for 3 minutes, drain, rinse with cold water and drain again.

Heat butter in a saucepan, sprinkle with flour, sauté briefly and then slowly pour in milk while stirring. Add cheese to the saucepan, melt over low heat and season with salt and pepper.

3.

Grease a baking dish with butter, wrap endive with ham and place next to each other in the prepared baking dish. Pour cheese sauce over endive and bake in the oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for 15 minutes.
