4 ripe Apple
8 dried Figs
½ cup shelled Hazelnuts
½ cup shelled almonds
2 cups whole grain oatmeal
2 ½ Tbsps melted butter
1 Tbsp cinnamon
4 Tbsps warm, floral honey

Preparation steps

1.
Preheat the oven to 180°C | 350F | gas 4.
2.
Wash the apples and slice in half around the middle. Remove the core with a melon baller.
3.
Finely dice the figs. Coarsely chop the nuts and mix them together with the figs and the oats.
4.
Brush the scooped out portion of the apples with the melted butter and fill with the fig-nut mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with a little honey.
5.
Place in a greased baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove and arrange on a tray. Serve with whipped cream and maple syrup if desired.
