4 Pear
2 Tbsps lemon juice
2 Tbsps brown sugar
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch Mace
1 pinch Ground clove
4 Tbsps light Sesame seeds
40 grams butter
2 Brick pastry
melted butter (for brushing)
1 Tbsp Poppy seeds
200 grams Goat cheese
honey (for drizzling)

Preparation steps

Butter baking pan.

Rinse and dry pears, quarter and core. Brush cut surfaces with lemon juice and arrange pears in a baking pan. Combine sugar with spices and butter in a saucepan and heat on low heat until sugar has dissolved. Add 1-2 tablespoons of sesame seeds and coat pears with the mixture. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 10-15 minutes or until pears are softened.

Cut pastry sheets into squares (10 x 10cm) (4 x 4 inches) and arrange on a lined with parchment paper baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame and poppy seeds. Bake in the same oven for a few minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Remove pastry squares from the oven and top with sliced goat cheese and pears. Drizzle wtih honey and serve.
