100 grams Smoked bacon
400 grams Ground beef
2 Tbsps olive oil
1 Tbsp Tomato paste
500 milliliters Beef broth

Preparation steps

Mix beans together in a bowl and completely cover with water. Soak overnight. Peel onions and garlic and finely chop. Rinse chile pepper, cut lengthwise, remove seeds and finely chop. Dice bacon. Cook ground beef in hot oil for 5-10 minutes, until crumbly. Add chile pepper, onion, garlic and bacon. Cook briefly. Stir in tomato paste and pour in broth. Blanch tomatoes, peel, quarter, core and dice. Add tomatoes and beans to chili and simmer gently for 1 hour, adding broth as needed. Stir and let liquid reduce.
