800 grams Beef fillet (ready to cook)
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

1.

Cut fillet into 4 equal pieces and slightly flatten so that each piece is about 4 cm (approximately 1.5 inches) thick.

2.

Pour oil into a hot frying pan and sear fillets for 1 minute over high heat. Flip and sear other side for 1 minute.

3.

Reduce heat and cook for 2 more minutes, turning once. Add butter and cook for another 2 minutes or until desired temperature has been reached. Brush with butter on occasion to keep fillets from drying out.

4.

Remove from pan and season with salt and pepper. Serve.
