- 800 grams Beef
- 5 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 4 stalks Celery
- 4 carrots
- 80 grams button Mushroom
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- Cumin (ground)
- allspice
- ½ tsp Caraway (ground)
- 800 milliliters Beef broth
- 1 Tbsp thyme
- 1 Tbsp parsley (chopped)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps

Rinse, trim and roughly chop the celery.

Peel carrots and cut into large pieces.
3.
Clean mushrooms and cut into slices.
4.
Peel and chop the onions and garlic.
5.
Sear beef in a large saucepan in 3 tablespoons oil until browned on all sides. Remove from saucepan and add onions, Sauté until golden brown. Stir in carrots, celery, caraway, cumin, allspice and garlic and deglaze with the broth. Cover and simmer for about 1.5 hours. Brown the mushrooms in a skillet in oil and add to the beef during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Season stew with salt and pepper and serve sprinkled with herbs.
