- 600 grams Beef (from the rib or shoulder)
- 1 can Kidney beans (450 grams)
- 2 onions
- 2 fresh Corn
- 4 garlic cloves
- ½ Head of cabbage
- 300 milliliters Beef broth
- 5 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 2 bay leaves
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
Preparation steps

Rinse and pat dry beef, cut into bite-sized cubes of beef. Peel onions and cut into strips. Rinse corn cobs and cut into thick slices. Peel garlic and chop finely.

Quarter cabbage lengthwise, remove stalk and cut into strips.

Heat oil in a heavy pan and brown meat on all sides on high heat. Add broth, onions, cabbage, bay leaves and garlic. Season with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Simmer, covered, for about 40 minutes. Add drained beans and corn cobs and simmer for 10 more minutes. Season with more cayenne pepper, if desired. Serve.
