Preparation steps

1.

Soak roll in cold water. Rinse bell peppers, cut in half lengthwise, leaving the stem intact, remove the seeds and ribs carefully. Drain tuna, place in a bowl and crush with a fork. Squeeze out roll, tear into pieces and add to tuna. Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Peel onion, chop finely and sauté in 1 tablespoon oil. Peel garlic and squeeze through a press. Sauté onion and garlic briefly in the remaining oil and add to the tuna in the bowl.

2.

Add the egg yolk and mix everything thoroughly. Season with salt, pepper, paprika and lemon juice.

3.

Rinse tomatoes and cut into slices. Chop olives coarsely.

4.

Rinse anchovies, pat dry and cut in half crosswise.

5.

Grease a baking dish with butter. Place tuna filling in the bell pepper halves and top with olives, sliced tomatoes and anchovies. Place stuffed bell peppers in the baking dish. Cut mozzarella into slices and lay over the bell peppers. Bake in preheated oven until browned, about 30 minutes. (If the cheese browns too quickly, cover with aluminum foil).
