2 Tbsps butter

Preparation steps

1.

Trim the stalk and remove the outer leaves of the brussels sprouts. Cut croswise along the stalk, to ensure even cooking.

2.

Bring some water to boil in a saucepan, and top with the brussels sprouts in a steamer basket. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes. Toast the almonds in a pan until golden brown.

3.

Add the butter to a saucepan, and toss with the brussels sprouts. Sprinkle with the almonds and season to taste with salt and nutmeg.
