- 1 each red and green Bell pepper
- 2 onions
- 3 Tbsps clarified butter
- 1 garlic clove
- salt
- peppers
- 3 ½ ozs aged Gouda
- 4 Tbsps Sesame seeds
- 1 batch pancake (see recipe below)
- parsley (for garnish)
- Basic recipe pancake
- 9 ozs Pastry flour
- 34 ozs milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
Preparation steps

Rinse peppers, quarter, remove the seeds and ribs and cut into strips. Peel onions and cut into wedges. Heat 2 tablespoons of the clarified butter and sauté onions and peppers 6 to 8 minutes. Peel and squeeze garlic through a press. Add to vegetables and season with salt and pepper. Keep warm.

Mix all ingredients for the pancakes. Let stand for 30 minutes. Grate the gouda and stir into the batter with 3 tablespoons sesame seeds. Heat the remaining butter in a nonstick pan. Cook the pancakes in batches. Toast remaining sesame seeds in the pan. Spoon pepper mixture onto pancakes and fold in half. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and garnish with parsley.
