50 milliliters dry white wine
2 Tbsps honey

1 generous pinch ground cloves
1 generous pinch ground allspice
½ tsp coarsely grated thyme

Preparation steps

Peel the onions and cut into rings or strips. Peel and finely grate the ginger. Bring the onions, raisins, ginger, vinegar, wine, and 100 ml (approximately 3 ounces) of water to a boil. Mix in the honey, salt, cumin, cloves, allspice, and thyme. Boil over medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Let cool, then season to taste with salt and pepper.

Break or slice the cheese into pieces. Garnish with the thyme, and serve with the onion chutney.
