1 kilogram Pastry flour
1 kilogram coarse Sea salt
Pastry flour (to work)
1 chicken about 1.4 kg (approximately 3 pounds)
8 slices Bacon

Preparation steps

1.

Mix the flour, salt and 500 ml of water (approximately 2 cups) to form a firm dough.

Roll out the dough on a floured kitchen towel to an oval plate size.

Wash the chicken inside and out and pat dry.

Spread the bacon overlapping on a work surface.

Cover the chicken with the bacon.

Use the towel to place the dough around the chicken.

Press firmly.

Use a shovel to place the chicken in the hot embers of the fire.

Cover with coals and cook for about 2 hours in the campfire until the fire is cold.
