Ingredients

- 800 grams chicken (breast or thigh)
- 2 centimeters fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves
- 400 grams Yogurt (0.1% fat)
- 2 tsps ground paprika (sweet)
- ½ tsp ground Cumin
- freshly ground peppers
- ½ tsp Chili powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric
- ½ lemon (juiced)
- 2 Tbsps freshly chopped cilantro
- salt
- 1 Cucumber
- 8 thin Flatbread
Preparation steps
Rinse chicken, pat dry and chop into bite-size pieces. Place chicken pieces in a bowl.
Peel ginger and garlic and finely chop both. Mix yogurt, paprika, cumin, pepper, chili powder, turmeric, lemon juice and cilantro in a bowl, pour mixture over chicken and mix well. Cover and let rest for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Remove chicken from marinade, stick on wooden skewers and season with salt. Cook under a preheated oven broiler, watching carefully, for approximately 10 minutes while turning occasionally. During the cooking time, brush with remaining marinade.
Rinse cucumber, cut in half lengthwise, scrape out seeds and dice into small pieces. Heat flatbreads briefly under the preheated oven broiler, watching carefully. Arrange flatbread folded on plates, place chicken skewers on top and serve garnished with cucumbers.
