- 4 Chicken legs
- 8 Chicken wing
- 2 tsps freshly grated ginger
- 2 garlic cloves
- 10 ozs Yogurt (0.1% fat)
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- ½ tsp ground Cumin
- ½ tsp black peppers
- ½ tsp Chili powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric
- 2 Tbsps freshly chopped cilantro
- 2 onions
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Preparation steps
1.
Rinse the chicken pieces and pat dry. Peel and finely chop ginger and garlic.

Mix yogurt with spices and cilantro. Marinate chicken pieces in yogurt mixture in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).
4.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, take the chicken pieces from the marinade bake for about 35 minutes.
5.
Meanwhile, peel the onions and cut lengthwise into thin strips. Sauté in oil until golden brown.
6.
To serve, place chicken tikka masala on a platter alongside the onions.
7.
Serve with saffron rice, if desired.
