200 grams Smoked bacon
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
½ l Beef broth
600 grams Kidney beans (canned)
600 grams peeled Tomatoes (canned)
1 Tbsp Chili powder

Preparation steps

Peel onions and garlic and chop finely. Rinse and halve bell peppers, remove seeds and ribs and cut into thin strips. Cut bacon into cubes. Heat oil in a large pot and saute onions and garlic until translucent. Add ground meat and saute for 10 minutes on high heat, season with salt and pepper.

Add bacon and peppers and saute briefly. Add broth and beans, crush tomatoes with a fork and add to the pan as well. Season with chili powder and simmer, covered, for about 30 minutes. Season to taste and serve.
