100 grams ground Walnut
2 tsps Baking powder
1 pinch cinnamon
2 eggs
150 grams sugar
300 milliliters Buttermilk
70 milliliters Canola oil
100 grams Milk chocolate
To garnish
60 grams Milk chocolate
100 grams Walnut
candied Raspberries (or cranberries)

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Grease 8 (200 ml) (approximately 7 ounces) glasses with butter.

For the cakes: Combine the flour, ground nuts, baking powder and cinnamon. Whisk the eggs, sugar, buttermilk and oil together then add to the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Divide equally between 2 bowls. Melt the chocolate over a hot water bath then stir into 1 portion of the batter. Alternately layer the batters between the prepared glasses to create marbled cakes. Bake for about 25 minutes then let cool.

To garnish: Melt the chocolate, drizzle over the cakes and then garnish with walnuts and candied raspberries.
