- Ingredients
- 100 grams Red onions
- 300 grams Cranberry
- 80 grams brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 50 milliliters dry Red wine
- 2 Tbsps Crème de cassis
- 1 generous pinch Sea salt
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 Jam jar (with twist-off lid)
Preparation steps
1.
Peel and finely chop the onions. Remove the cranberries from the vine and rinse well. Place all the ingredients in a pot. Simmer for 45 minutes over medium heat, until the mixture has thickened. Season to taste. If necessary, add some wine or sugar to taste.
2.
Place the jars in hot water. Remove shortly before you need to fill them, and drain on a clean kitchen towel. The jars should be hot when you fill them. Fill with the chutney and seal tightly. Turn upside down, and cool for 10 minutes.
