1 Non-stick pan, 1 Slotted spatula, 1 Bowl, 1 Fork, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Toaster, 1 Small knife, 1 Cutting board
Preparation steps

Beat the egg and egg yolks with the sugar. Put the milk and cream into a pan with the vanilla extract and bring to the boil, then gradually stir into the egg mixture.

For the caramel, put the sugar and water into a small pan and simmer until the sugar is golden brown. Immediately pour into lightly oiled ramekins and tilt to spread the caramel evenly over the base.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Strain the custard mixture through a sieve and pour into the ramekins. Stand the ramekins in a baking dish and add enough boiling water to come half-way up the ramekins. Put into the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the custards have set.
5.
Leave to cool and turn out onto plates to serve.
