- 400 grams (approximately 14 ounces) mixed ground meat
- 1 egg
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 stale White roll
- 1 Tbsp Mustard (spicy)
- salt
- peppers
- 4 Tbsps Herb cream cheese
- breadcrumbs
- butter (or oil for frying)
Preparation steps

Tear the roll into large pieces, soak in warm water to soften, then squeeze well.

Combine the bread, meat, egg, onion(approximately 14 ounces) and mustard and knead well. Season with salt and pepper and divide into 8 equal parts. Shape into uniform very flat patties. Place 1 tablespoon cream cheese in the center of each of four patties. Top with the remaining 4 patties, and press to enclose the filling. Dredge the meatballs in bread crumbs. Heat the butter in a large skillet and saute the patties over medium heat until golden brown and cooked through.
