- 4 Cardamom
- ½ tsp ground ginger

- 2 ½ cups Basmati rice

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oil in a pan and add the chicken, skin side down, cooking until golden brown. Add the onions and cardamom and cook until golden.
2.
Add the rice and 800 ml water and the rest of the spices and leave to cook gently for about 25-30 minutes until the rice has cooked and the liquid evaporated. Check as you may need to add more water as the rice absorbs it.
3.
Adjust the seasoning and serve in the pan or in individual bowls.
