1 handful Basil
1 garlic clove
4 slices Country bread
4 Tbsps olive oil
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

Rinse the tomatoes and remove the cores. Cut into quarters and remove the seeds. Finely dice the tomato quarters. Rinse the basil and pat dry. Remove the leaves from the stems, and chiffonade. Mix the tomatoes with the basil. Peel the garlic and pass through a press into the tomato mixture. Mix in the olive oil, then season to taste with salt and pepper.

Cut the bread into smaller pieces, then top with the tomato mixture. Serve on a plate, or on a wooden serving platter.
