- 3 slices Bacon (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 shallot (chopped)
- 4 ½ cups Brussels sprouts (trimmed; larger sprouts halved)
- kosher salt (to taste)
- freshly ground Black pepper (to taste)
- 1 cup Chicken broth
Preparation steps

Brown bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain bacon on a paper towel, and set aside.

Add olive oil to the skillet. Add shallots and saute for 1 to 2 minutes. Add Brussels sprouts and gently shake to coat in oil. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, then add broth. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 10 minutes, until tender.

Transfer sprouts to a serving dish, sprinkle with cooked bacon bits. Serve.
