- For the muffins
- ½ cup butter (melted)
- 5 Tbsps sugar
- 1 egg (beaten)
- ½ cup milk
- ¾ cup self-rising flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 Apple (peeled cored and chopped)
- For the topping
- 4 Tbsps rolled oats
- 4 Tbsps light brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp melted butter

1 Bowl, 1 Fine-mesh sieve, 1 Hand mixer, 1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Baking sheet, 1 Parchment paper, 1 Rolling pin, 1 Tablespoon
Preparation steps
1.
For the muffins: heat the oven to 200°C (180° fan) 400°F gas 6. Grease 12 muffin tins.

Mix together the melted butter, sugar, egg and milk in a mixing bowl.
3.
Sift in the flour and salt and stir gently until just combined. The mixture will be lumpy.
4.
Spoon into the tins and spoon the apples on top, pressing lightly into the mixture.
5.
For the topping: mix together the remaining ingredients and sprinkle evenly on top of the apples.
6.
Bake for about 20 minutes until the muffins are risen and the apples are tender. Cool in the tins for 10 minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
