50 grams clarified butter
1 ⅕ kilograms Beef (for goulash)
5 onions (diced)
2 garlic cloves (chopped)
2 Tbsps Pastry flour
salt
Black pepper
1 pinch marjoram
Caraway
2 Tbsps sweet ground paprika
2 liters Beef broth
600 grams and diced potatoes
Bell pepper (each with 3 red and green, trimmed and chopped)
5 Tomatoes (chopped)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the meat and cut into 1.5cm (approximately 3/4-inch) cubes.

Heat the butter in a Dutch oven and working in batches, saute the meat until golden brown. When all the meat has been sauteed add the diced onions and garlic cloves and saute 5 minutes . Dust with flour, stirring to coat. Sprinkle with spices and herbs. Pour in the broth, bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for 1 hour. Add the potatoes, peppers and tomatoes and simmer 20 minutes. Season and serve.
