Preparation steps

1.

Boil 5 eggs for 5 minutes, then color with dye and rub with oil.

For the dough: Sift flour into a bowl and create a well in the center. Dissolve yeast in 6 tablespoons warm water, pour into well and dust with flour. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. Melt butter warm and knead into dough with sugar and remaining, eggs. Knead in orange zest and aniseed powder. Shape dough into a ball, cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.

2.

Grease a baking sheet with oil. Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

3.

Knead dough on a floured surface. Separate a third of the dough and set aside. Shae remaining dough into a loaf. Divide remaining dough into strands, twist strands together and press onto the edges of the loaf. Whisk egg yolk with 1 tablespoon water and brush onto dough and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Let dough rest for about 15 minutes. Press eggs into bread and bake for about 45 minutes.

Remove, let cool and serve.
