1 Cucumber (400 grams)
200 grams Cream quark (40% fat)
250 grams Yogurt (0.1% fat)
2 Tbsps lemon juice
1 Tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves
salt
freshly ground peppers
½ head Iceberg lettuce
4 Tomatoes
2 onions
700 grams spiced Gyros meat (from meat counter)
4 Pita bread

Preparation steps

1.

Peel cucumber, halve lengthwise, remove seeds with spoon and grate. Mix cream quark, yogurt, lemon juice, oil and grated cucumber. Peel garlic, press and add to Tzatziki. Season with salt and pepper.

Rinse lettuce leaves, spin dry and cut into strips. Rinse tomatoes and cut into wedges. Peel onions and cut into thin rings.

3.

Cook Gyro meat in non-stick roasting pan.

4.

Halve pitas, open each pita pocket and briefly roast (using grill, oven or toaster.)

5.

Fill pitas with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, gyro meat and a dab of Tzatziki.
