Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Rinse the mushrooms and cut into small pieces. Peel and finely chop the onions. Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes. Cook the potatoes in boiling salt water for about 15 minutes. Rinse and drain well.

Pour the ham, mushrooms, potatoes and onions into a greased baking dish and season with pepper. Stir the sour cream, quark and eggs until smooth. Season with salt and pepper and pour into the baking dish. Spread the sauce evenly and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake for about 45 minutes. Rinse the chives and cut into rolls. Serve the gratin sprinkled with chives.
