Preparation steps

1.

Add the hibiscus flowers to 1.5 liters of boiling water (approximately 3 pints). Add the vanilla seeds and pod and cook covered for 20 minutes.

Pour through a fine sieve, add the lemon juice and sweeten with rock sugar. Serve hot or chilled as desired.
