1 tart Apple (finely diced)
2 tsps marjoram
2 tsps thyme

Preparation steps

1.

Peel onions and cut into rings. Coat onions with flour, tap off excess, fry until crispy in fryer and drain on kitchen paper.

2.

Braise apple awhile. Combine lard with onions, back bacon and apple and season with herbs, salt, pepper and 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Heat lard for 20 minutes, but do not allow to boil. Pour lard into glass jar and let solidify.
