4 Tbsps butter

200 grams Mountain cheese
150 grams Whipped cream

Preparation steps

Rinse potatoes, peel and cut into 1-1.5 cm (1/3 - 1/2 inch) cubes. Peel and halve onion and cut into thin columns. Heat butter in pan and fry potatoes with onions for 5 minutes while stirring. Add noodles and pour in about 800-900 ml (approximately 3-4 cups) lightly salted water. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, cover and cook about10 minutes until liquid is almost completely absorbed by pasta.

In the meantime, rinse chives and cut into very small rings. Grate cheese coarsely and mix with cream.

Add cream to pasta mixture, season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with chives and serve with applesauce.
