2 yellow onion
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
200 grams freshly grated Emmentaler cheese
500 milliliters Whipped cream (at least 30% fat content)

Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Cook the macaroni in boiling salted water until al dente.

Thaw the peas and finely dice the ham.

Peel, halve, and finely dice the onions. Heat the oil in a pan, and sauté the onions.

Drain the macaroni, then mix with the ham, onions, peas, and half of the cheese. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Beat the eggs with the cream, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour the cream mixture over the pasta in the baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Divide into indivdual portions, transfer to plates, and serve.
