1 kilogram starchy potatoes
½ head Savoy cabbage
275 milliliters hot milk
4 Tbsps cold butter
1 red onion
salt
Nutmeg (freshly grated)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the potatoes and cook in boiling salted water for 30 minutes.

Rinse and trim the cabbage, then julienne. Blanch in boiling water for 4-5 minutes.

Peel the potatoes, and pass through a potato ricer. Mix in the cold butter and hot milk with a wooden spoon, forming a loose puree. Mix in the cabbage, and season to taste with salt and nutmeg.

4.

Peel the onion, and slice into rings. Sprinkle over the mashed potatoes and serve.
